There are many things to love about Senator Ted Cruz, including his brutal honesty and realistic assessment of any given political situation.
This brutal honesty extends to situations that the media likes to routinely dismiss as fictional or fake news, though Cruz clearly indicates otherwise during a recent interview.
“You and I both remember when President Trump said the Democrats are spying on me,” Cruz remarked on Fox News, “and the corporate media collectively laughed at him, they mocked him, they said what a ridiculous claim for him to make.”
In other words, corporate media was covering up for Clinton cronies, though said cronies don’t extend as deeply as Durham’s investigation does.
Not yet, anyway.
Inconveniently for Clinton, as Durham’s investigation is merely confirming what Trump and his supporters have long known.
“Well if what special counsel Durham is alleging is true, what Donald Trump said was absolutely right,” Cruz noted wryly.
Trump has long alleged that his private buildings were spied on by Democrats, making his suspicions clear on Twitter.
“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory,” Trump previously tweeted, “Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
Of course, the mainstream media ignored Trump, especially when factoring in the influence of Clinton.
“To the extent Hillary Clinton is complicit with this, her campaign is complicit with it, her lawyers are complicit with it, big tech is complicit with it, if this is true, it’s a lot bigger than Watergate,” Cruz continued, “That was a bungled, third-rate burglary. It was wrong. People went to jail for Watergate. And people need to go to jail for this if these allegations are true.”
Clinton in jail. That would be interesting. After all, when thinking about all the possible charges that could apply, where could one begin, and frankly, where could one end?
After all, crime is not exactly a one-off venture for Clinton and Co.
Just consider her disastrous tenure as Secretary of State, especially since Democrat incompetence on the international scene has ballooned ever since the not so illustrious tenure of Obama.
“Europe is on the verge of war because of the weakness, the fecklessness of Joe Biden,” Cruz noted, “[Biden’s] surrender and disastrous retreat from Afghanistan is the worst military catastrophe for the United States in decades.”
That feckless demeanor is undoubtedly why Putin has now felt empowered to send in “peacekeeping” troops to Ukraine, as he knows Biden probably won’t even be aware of the fact that an invasion is occurring.
In other words, Putin knows that Biden is asleep, and he is invading accordingly.
“All of our enemies across the globe are looking to Washington, they are taking the measure of the man in the Oval Office,” Cruz continued, “and as a result, as I said back in August, the chances of Russia invading Ukraine had just risen tenfold. The chances of China invading Taiwan had just risen tenfold. We are seeing the first of those two shoes dropping today because of Biden’s weakness, but it’s even worse than that.”
Of course it gets worse. That’s because Democrats, for some deranged reason, are determined to empower Putin even more than they’re determined to empower illegals, which stands in stark contrast to the actions Trump took as president.
“In 2019, I authored sanctions, bipartisan sanctions, in Congress,” Cruz proclaimed, “they passed with overwhelming bipartisan majorities. President Trump signed my sanctions legislation into law, and Putin stopped building the pipeline the day President Trump signed those sanctions.”
In other words, international security was improved with President Trump.
With Biden, the state of international security is in a free fall, complete with the predictable “peacekeeping” incursion into Ukraine.
A mission that is all the more aided and abetted by the Democrats’ determination to lift Putin up economically from Biden’s first day in office.
“That pipeline was dead for over a year until Joe Biden became president and Putin began building that pipeline again on January 24th, 2021 – four days after Biden was sworn into office,” Cruz remarked.
And Trump is the one who colluded with Russia? Sure …
