Trump Plans Major Surprise During Upcoming Border Visit

Former President Donald Trump will not be making his border trip solo — or without his signature flare.

A group of House Republicans will be joining Trump to inspect the damage done by the Biden-Harris administration as they continue to strip the Former President’s influence from the region. Since abandoning many of the Trump-era policies, the border has crumbled and became a disaster area the likes of which have never been seen in America’s history.

The Republican Study Committee, the House’s largest GOP caucus, will be traveling with the Former President to the US-Mexico border next week.

RSC Chair, Republican Rep. from Indiana Jim Banks confirmed his trek with Trump, revealing about a dozen more lawmakers have committed to tagging along with the Former President on his trip next Wednesday. A press conference with the team, along with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is likely to take place, highlighting the immense destruction done by the Biden-Harris administration.

“President Trump spent four years fixing the border. But the Biden administration broke it again, and we are now experiencing the worst border crisis in our history,” Banks said in a statement.

Adding:

“That’s why the RSC has made carrying on the Trump legacy on immigration our top priority this Congress and why we are heading to the border with President Trump to explain how we can end this national embarrassment.”

Trump met with leaders of the Republican caucus earlier this month, the border trip marking the second meeting with the top-ranking GOP lawmakers. Their first encounter took place at Trump’s resort in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Republicans have identified Biden’s failure at the border as a sure-fire way to sway voters before the 2022 midterms. Amongst a bevy of other blunders, Republican leaders plan to fully demonstrate how disastrous Biden’s immigration policies have been for America as the administration struggles to maintain control of the crisis they’ve created.

Last week, Republican Governor of Texas Greg Abbott invited the Former President to the border to inspect the damage that’s been done. Trump accepted.

The trip is intended to highlight the glaring differences between Trump and Biden’s border policies, the former having a positive effective on safety and security, while the latter continues to be destroying America. Trump’s common-sense policies ensured a controlled and secure border, while Biden’s unfurling of those policies have wreaked havoc in the region.

“It’s an unmitigated disaster zone,” Trump said in a release.

Abbott has been one of Trump’s biggest supporters. He recently announced $1 billion was put in the state budget to strengthen border security, and added Texas would construct its own border wall.

At a border summit earlier this month, Abbott issued a disaster declaration that will include potentially arresting anyone illegally entering the state of Texas.

“It will help all of us to work on ways to stem the flow of unlawful immigration and to stem the flow of illegal contraband,” Abbott said.

Adding:

“They don’t want to come to across the state of Texas anymore because it’s not what they were expecting. It’s not the red carpet that the federal administration rolled out to them.”
