Mass Shooting Prompts Biden To Renew Gun Control Push

Up until now, Joe Biden has been utterly silent about gun violence in Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago — a once-great city now considered America’s murder capital.

In fact, Democrats constantly evade discussing the murder epidemic in Chicago because it forced them to confront the truth about gun control. Democrats don’t want to admit that strict gun control laws do not result in a decrease in crime, proven unequivocally by Chicago’s extremely high murder rate.

Moreover, Democrats don’t want to admit the simple truth of which demographic is actually committing a majority of the violent crime.

Meanwhile, residents of Highland Park, Illinois were trying to celebrate America’s independence when a crazed psychopath unleashed gunfire into a crowd of parade-goers, killing at least six and injuring dozens more.

The mass shooter was a disgruntled young white man who the left now claims is a Trump supporter, which is the only reason why Joe Biden issued a response to the tragedy. But one look at the shooter’s social media accounts discredits all ideological assumptions.

Six people were killed and at least 24 others were hospitalized after the morning shooting, according to officials. The suspect has been described as a white male approximately 18 to 20 years old with longer black hair, a small build, and wearing a white or blue T-shirt.

Not a moment passed before Joe Biden jumped at the chance to further his push to ban guns. He released a statement that press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre posted on Twitter.

In his statement, Biden also referred to gun safety legislation he signed last month after a string of other deadly mass shootings. “I recently signed the first major bipartisan gun reform legislation in almost 30 years into law, which includes actions that will save lives. But there is much more work to do. I’m not going to give up fighting the epidemic of gun violence,” he said.

The commander in chief further said he has spoken to Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering and noted that he has “surged” federal law enforcement to help the search for the shooter, who remained at large hours after the shooting, but has since been taken into custody.

Could the race of the shooter have anything to do with Biden’s immediate response to Monday’s incident?
