GOP Leaders Vow To Kick Biden To The Curb Within a Year

Impeachment may be in the cards for President Joe Biden according to a GOP rep who said they may look “anything is on the table” if Republicans retake the house in midterms.

House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik said, “anything is on the table when we are in the majority,” according to a report by JustTheNews.

“But what I believe we should focus on is conducting oversight and making sure that we’re passing legislation to secure the border once and for all,” she added. “The policies of the previous administration under President Trump were working.”

Stefanik’s remark came in reaction to Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz hinting at the fact that impeachment is a very real possibility for the Democrat president – citing “multiple grounds to consider” on the matter, foremost the chaos at the southern border.

“If we take the House, which I said is overwhelmingly likely, then I think we will see serious investigations of the Biden administration,” Cruz said on an episode of “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” according to The Hill.

“I do think there’s a chance of that,” the Republican continued, noting that Democrats set the precedent by “weaponizing impeachment” against former President Donald Trump.

Stefanik placed extra emphasis on the potential impeachment due to the president’s disastrous handling of the southern border – saying it’s a big issue for Americans.

“We’ve focused like a laser on the crises in America, and what I hear from voters — even in my district in northern New York, because I represent border patrol officers who have been transferred again and again and again to the southern border — it’s crisis after crisis, it’s a catastrophe,” she said.

“Illegal border crossings increased 5% in November over the previous month. Since November 2020, illegal border crossings were up 140%. The federal government has not released December 2021 border statistics yet,” JustTheNews reported.

“My focus is on conducting oversight and making sure that we’re passing legislation that we’ve introduced,” Stefanik continued. “We have numerous bills introduced to secure the border, and making sure that the border is fully funded.”

President Biden has had articles of impeachment introduced against him before, though with Republicans in control of both the House and the Senate – such a move would be much more meaningful given that they could actually remove the senile president from office.

Back in September, Republican Rep. Bob Gibbs introduced three articles of impeachment against Biden, citing his handling of Afghanistan, immigration, and the now-defunct federal eviction moratorium.

“I take this seriously. I don’t think it’s haphazard. I’m not trying to get media attention for myself,” Gibbs told the Washington Examiner. “He’s done so much damage to this country in less than nine months, which is really scary.”

“He’s not capable of being commander-in-chief, and that’s obvious by the actions since Day One when he took the presidency back in January,” he said. “Maybe something like this makes the White House think twice before they do some of this nonsense.”
