Biden Weaponizes DOJ Against Parents Who Don’t Agree With Him

Biden has come under fire after a highly controversial decision to weaponize the Department of Justice (DOJ) against parents concerned about what their children are being taught in schools.

Conservatives have ripped Biden and the DOJ after the administration announced a plan to crack down on “harassment” of school administrators.

The DOJ on Monday ordered the FBI to work on curbing “harassment” and “threats of violence” against school administrators after it said the number of such incidents spiked in the past year. The DOJ’s move came days after the National School Boards Association (NSBA) pushed the Biden administration to take action against the rise in “malice, violence, and threats,” which the association said could constitute “a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”

“Parents are speaking out against Critical Race Theory in schools. Now the Biden administration is cracking down on dissent,” Republican Sen. Tom Cotton tweeted in response to the DOJ announcement.

“At his confirmation hearing, Merrick Garland promised not to follow the Obama model of weaponizing DOJ to target & persecute his political opponents,” Republican Sen. Ted Cruz said. “Just a few months in, he’s already breaking that promise.”

Blake Masters, a Republican running for U.S. Senate in Arizona, stated, “It can happen here. It’s happening here. Your government is being weaponized against you.”

The Daily Wire’s Andrew Klavan blasted the DOJ announcement, “Interesting that harassing a female Senator in a rest room is ‘part of the process,’ but mothers standing up for their children is criminal activity. Another snapshot of leftism,” Klavan said, referencing Biden’s reaction to Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema being followed into a bathroom by activists over her stance against the White House’s $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” package.

The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh also chimed in to point out the dangerous double standards, “Leftist activists can come to your house with bullhorns. Film you in the bathroom. Loot your business. Burn police stations. The FBI does nothing. But if conservative parents raise their voices at a school board meeting, they’re hunted down as terrorists. The law is dead.”

Parents across the nation also responded to the new move by the DOJ.

“I am what a domestic terrorist looks like?” asked Asra Nomani, vice president of investigations and strategy at Parents Defending Education. “You owe parents an apology!” Nomani’s group has been conducting deep research into how school boards across the country are implementing so-called “woke” ideas in their curricula.

Nomani’s group has launched a form on their website that sends emails to DOJ. The draft email reads: “I urge you to reconsider mobilizing the U.S. Department of Justice against concerned parents who are exercising their First Amendment rights at school board meetings across the country.”

“Our country’s children deserve a high-quality education. Please do not criminalize the American citizens that advocate on their behalf.”

On Tuesday, Nomani took it a step further, changing her Twitter display name to “Asra Q. Nomani ‘Domestic Terrorist’” in an apparent attempt to mock the suspicion of parents like herself. In another tweet, she said Attorney General Merrick Garland had issued a “declaration of war” against parents.

Nicole Solas, a mom who publicly challenged her school board in Rhode Island, similarly had a display name that read in part: “Domestic Terrorist per @NSBApubliced.”

In response to the DOJ’s announcement, she tweeted: “Arrest me.” She added that “[a]ny *legitimate* violence is sufficiently addressed by your local police. The Fed wants the *political* police. FBI are the politics police.”

Parent and activist Aliscia Andrews also tweeted, saying the move was the left’s way of “silencing the opposition.”
