AG Garland Proves He’s No Match For This Top Senate Republican

All Merrick Garland could do was grit and bear the verbal lashings he received from numerous Senate Republicans.

Most notably Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who really hit Garland where it hurt.

On Wednesday, Attorney General Merrick Garland was forced to face immense scrutiny during a contentious Senate hearing.

Multiple Republican lawmakers demanded his immediate resignation and you could clearly see Garland’s dismay.

Ted Cruz took it up a notch and demanded Garland offer clarification about an alleged conflict of interest with his son-in-law, a businessman who directly profits from the teaching of Critical Race Theory in public schools.

The top Biden DOJ official strongly suggested he hadn’t sought such a review, as he argued there was zero cause for concern.

Garland made the comments during a contentious moment with Sen. Cruz, ducking and dodging from the Texas Republican’s line of questioning.

Garland parroted his previous claim that his memorandum was aimed at parents who became violence or threatened violence against educators or public officials.

Isn’t he describing assault and battery, which is already a punishable crime?

What’s the utility of inventing a new label to slap on parents who are simply questioning the indoctrination of their children?

Republican senators and congressmen, along with parent groups and various activists, have questioned whether Garland has a conflict of interest because his daughter’s husband, Xan Tanner, co-founded Panorama Education. Panorama Education claims it has made its way into thousands of schools serving millions of students in the United States, selling race-focused student and teacher surveys and conducting training on systemic racism and oppression, white supremacy, implicit bias, and intersectionality, all under the rubric of “Social-Emotional Learning.”

Cruz asked Garland, “So, if critical race theory is taught in more schools, does your son-in-law make more money?”

Garland was in total disbelief.

After the AG refused to give a clear answer, and instead danced around the truth, Cruz was sure to make the record clear, saying: “Let the record reflect that the attorney general refuses to answer whether he sought an ethics opinion, and apparently ethics are not a terribly high priority for the Biden Justice Department.”

This level of obfuscation just goes to show that there’s something insidious happening behind the scenes.

Garland already admitted Biden’s White House was in contact with the National School Board Association before they published their initial letter, which directly effected the DOJ memo which permitted the FBI to punish “domestic terrorists” parents.

This high-level collusion is nothing but a concerted effort to deny parents the right to know what their children are being taught.

But why?

Simply because America’s liberal elite will use every tactic available to infest every institution with radical leftism until it’s become a norm in our culture.
